has anyone here ever purchased their glasses from bj's wholesale club? i just saw my eye doctor last week and need to update my glasses rx. i need high-index lenses due to my extreme myopia, and it would be nice to update the frames. i really can't afford the $500-range prices my eye doctor is offering, but i don't want to end up with less-than-perfect glasses just to save some cash. any and all advice/experiences are welcome, and thank you!

Hello fellow ladies in glasses...I found this community looking up geeky things awhile ago. I just bought new glasses so I decided to stop lurking and share. Pics! ( Read more... ) This might sound silly, but do you guys have the problem of your glasses being absolutely filthy all the time? No matter what it seems like I always have a huge thumb print or tiny little who knows what on my glasses. I carry around the little clothes I got when I bought them, but they only help so much. Anyone try the little wet clothes they sell in stores? Are they worth using? Also, how much does everyone usually spend on their glasses? I feel kinda guilty at how much I spent on this pair. <3 x posted

Howdy, just joined :) My name's Kimmi, 18, from a suburb of Detroit, MI. I've been wearing glasses since I was in 4th grade. ( Pictures! ) Sat, Dec. 27th, 2008, 10:28 pm
wofl_iron: Intro

Hello ladies! I just stumbled across the community and I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Wofl (or Lindsay, if you prefer) and I'm less than a month off my 21st birthday and I've been wearing glasses since the 3rd grade. ( But you just want to see the pictures, right? )

i'm twenty-five, and i've been wearing glasses/contacts for twenty years!

and now, a question. i am very nearsighted (my rx is -8.75 in both eyes) and without corrective lenses i just see blurs. do any of you bespectacled girls have tips for eye makeup application? i've tried those magnified makeup mirrors, but i still have to get very close to the mirror to see anything. i'm okay putting on mascara and undereye concealer, but eyeliner and eyeshadow are impossible. any advice or words of wisdom would be lovely! thanks.

I'm not sure if I totally like them yet (despite putting my prescription in) the certainly only work with a specific outfits. Pardon the grainy mobile picture. Snagged them from American Apparel :)

For the longest time I refused to wear glasses and now I LOVE my glasses. I actually feel even more confident wearing them and think I look better with them. |
